Description
Product Overview
The KNKE Split-Type Electromagnetic Flowmeter consists of a sensor and a converter. This flowmeter uses Faraday’s Law of Induction to measure the volumetric flow of conductive liquids. Not only can it measure common conductive liquids, but it also excels in measuring corrosive substances like acids, alkalis, and slurry. Thanks to its versatility, this flowmeter finds widespread use in various industries, such as petrochemical, metallurgy, pulp & paper, environmental protection, and food processing.
How It Works
The flowmeter operates based on Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction. The sensor contains two electrodes that are mounted perpendicular to both the flow direction and magnetic field. When a conductive liquid flows through the pipe, it cuts through the magnetic field, inducing a voltage proportional to the flow rate. The sensor sends this voltage signal to the converter, which processes it and provides the flow data.
Key Features
- Full Digital Signal Processing: This feature boosts the flowmeter’s anti-interference capabilities and ensures reliable readings. It achieves a flow range of up to 150:1, which offers significant flexibility for various applications.
- Low EMI Power Supply: The flowmeter can tolerate power fluctuations. Its robust EMI performance ensures stable operation even in environments with significant electrical noise.
- Advanced Microprocessor: Equipped with a 16-bit microprocessor, it offers fast processing, low power consumption, and excellent precision. Additionally, the low-frequency excitation improves flow measurement stability.
- No Moving Parts: The flowmeter has no internal moving parts, reducing pressure loss and minimizing wear. This results in long-term reliability and accuracy.
- On-Site Calibration: The flowmeter allows for easy on-site adjustments to the measuring range. This feature provides high adaptability to various customer needs.
- Independent of Fluid Characteristics: It is unaffected by changes in fluid velocity, temperature, density, pressure, or viscosity, making it highly reliable across different environments.
- User-Friendly Display: The flowmeter features a high-resolution LCD with a fully Chinese-language interface. This makes operation straightforward and user-friendly, even for first-time users.
- Multiple Output Options: The flowmeter supports RS485, Modbus, and HART protocols, enabling easy integration with existing systems.
- Self-Diagnostics: With built-in self-checking and error-diagnosis functions, the flowmeter helps ensure smooth operation.
- Hourly Totalizer: It tracks and records total flow in hourly intervals. This feature is beneficial for industries that require time-based measurement.
- Remote Control: Optional infrared remote control enables users to adjust the flowmeter settings remotely without physical contact.
